Why?
I don’t really know if this counts as an opinion page, but I would like to know why my last account was banned less than a minute after I said I would leave the site after I finish my debate.
There are a few people I could blame for this, but I don’t want to do that this time. I’ll man up and take responsibility for my own actions. I fucked up on that site, and clearly, some of you hate me for it and I get banned three times in two days. I would really like to finish that debate, but I think I’ve already won it.
I’d also like to know how many of you wanted me gone, or thought that ddo would be a better place without me. I think I was unfairly charged with a lot of things. I don’t want this to sound angry or something similar, but I kind of am. You guys know how much time I spent on that site (not that it’s a good thing). I’ve missed countless assignments because of its distractions. I suppose that that aspect will end now, but do you know what’s been taken away from me? I can’t find anything like ddo with such a strong, tight knit community that I can be a part of. I really wish I could come back and say something, but I can’t. I’m left with this site, and the little resignation thing I posted on my wiki page. Panda said something in this site’s forums along the lines of “why do we need forums? We already have one, we don’t need another.” Who is this ‘we’ he’s talking about? The only two other people to post in these forums don’t have that opportunity anymore. Granted askbob probably doesn’t want to come back, he still can’t. I don’t see why I can’t go two hours without getting banned for no reason anymore. I’ve actually done nothing inappropriate or offensive with my last three or four accounts. I shouldn’t even be able to say “my last three of four accounts”, I should be able to exercise my natural right to say whatever the fuck I want and not need to be banned thirteen times. I encourage all of debate.org to come to their senses and join this site. There is no need to hold back a funny or offensive (or both) comment. I don’t need to multi account here (although I totally pwned hal and LM by being 2 people at once in the chat room) because I won’t get banned and won’t have any purpose for another account. Please, in the comments, answer my questions. I need to know why this happened.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad time bro, lol i remember when i left for good and half of the members were all for it. Some people on that site think a little too much of their online activities and their "reputation" of the "community".
In reality we're all just a bunch of people with nothing better to do. Lol it always ticked me off how Phil seemed to care more about banning people than he did maintaining his own site. But yeah invite all your friends here. As long as they don't spam or do illegal shit (child porn) they're good to go.
You shouldn't have to read over your comment to see if you offend people. I want people to be offended.
It seems that Phil and a handful of members on DDO never fully grasped the concept that the internet is different from a workplace.
You can offend whoever you want, you can do whatever you want (within the bounds of the law). It really is the only free form of speech left. So use it all you want here, you have nothing to fear about being banned.
Also keep writing some interesting opinion pages, some people on here are just content with 1 or 2, but seriously the more content the better.

Agreed. Especially the part about Phil. Long ago Phil participated in debates, although he was never what one might call an "active member." He really screwed things up when he fired Nate – he was a good guy that members could generally rely upon to do simple admin/mod duties. Now there isn't even that much. And just as annoying is Phil's commitment to "keeping the site clean," as he once told me in an email.

Heheheh. You really like mentioning that occurence in the chat room, don't yah?
I'd say more, but I don't want to give anyone the idea that I'm Kleptin.
Anyways, if you really wanna know why (which, in your situation, I'd be done with this website), you could probably try emailing Phil. It worked for usafkid.

I don't care if you sound like Kleptin, and yes, I don't usually epicly dick-on people on ddo frequently so I will mention it a lot.

Meh, Phils site Phils rules. He doesn't want you, so *boom*, headshot

That doesn't answer any of my questions.

I think you are in a better position to answer why you were banned than are we. I imagine that your unapologetic multi-accounting would be the main reason for your banning. Others have multi-accounted before. The main difference between them and you is that you never apologized or even acknowledged to us or Phil that you understood your action to be wrong. But for a more specific answer, you'd have to e-mail Phil.

I don't know what I did wrong, therefore I can not change to be what Phil or you want me to be.

Jblake is spot-on about the multi-accounting. Why do you need more than one account, anyway?
October 17, 2009 - 12:52 pm
Dude, you vote bombed ,made multipel accounts when it was clear you should stop and offended members.I care about the former two, and don't really care about the latter, but Christ it's so obvious.

I did votebomb, but I counteracted it so no damage was actually done, I only had multiple accounts active at the same time once, and I have no idea how I offended people. You still didn't answer either "Why did my last account get banned less than a minute after I said I would leave the site?" or "How many of you wanted me gone?"
